Passing the Torch

In the past couple of months the juniors definitely have taken full advantage of their experiences around the world. Now it's time to pass the torch of traveling to our littles. This past month the sophomores started hearing back from the various abroad programs that SCU offers. So far the places Delta Gamma will travel to next year range from the South American mountain ranges to the Australian coasts.

The littles in our chapters are so excited about having the juniors back, but they are even more excited to have people to get advice from. Here's a picture of Bri and Kelly celebrating the fact that both of them chose Rome for their time abroad. Kelly will be sure to give great advice to her little.

The prospect of being able to travel around the world is making me once again jealous! Each time we say goodbye to our sisters a piece of our chapter is missed, but the rest of the world gets to see how fabulous our sisters are.

Welcome Home

Well girls, I've done it again!!

I can't believe we're already heading into week 7 of the winter quarter. Sorry my updates have become overshadowed by school and work, but alas here is a recap of what has been going on. I promise I haven't forgotten about the few of you that are still all around the world.

As our quarter started we celebrated by welcoming back most of our class with ABROAD WEEK. We started with a mixer for juniors and the babies to Blondies frozen yogurt. Throughout the week we did various little activities and culminated out abroad celebration with a senior/junior get together at Light House. It was super fun to have a party with just our bigs!

I will admit it's been weird getting reacquainted with each other and the overpacked chapter room :) but I'm very glad to have most of you back.

Snaps for Days

Hey Girls

Well, we are now done with our first complete week of recruitment practice... I wish I could share everything we are doing on here, but you know how secret some of it is :) I love going to practice, but it's just not the same without our class there. Kelsey James and I were getting sentimental today, it's really sad how much you all are missed. In this afternoon's practice we finished up our video. I will tell you all about once it's debuted, but for now here's a picture of one of the scenes.

we all had to line up along the road heading to the Mansion, and I swear we looked crazy! Being a hot day people were out in their yards, and boys even set up shop to watch us. It wasn't embarrassing, but definitely something I wouldn't have chosen to do had it been up to me :)

Oh and here is our recruitment t-shirt :) it's a lot different then last year's shirts so that's good and fortunately we don't match anyone else! -- "To be or not to be ΔΓ was there ever any questions?"

Love you all and I will post more later so don't forget to email me updates :)

envious me

Oh my Lordy!!!

I have been getting ready to pack up to head back to the lovely santa clara... and realized as I logged into facebook that most of my friends will not be in the same boat, instead they have posted about their first impressions of the abroad life. I know when I lived in Greece in high school everything was so invigorating and I was refreshed with a new sense of life, I hope they all have the same enlightening experience. I cannot lie to you all and say I'm not jealous... I hope you all the very best :)

here are some of the things people have been posting on facebook as well as their blogs:

Kellie: "off to London!!"

Brittany: in ROMA looking at the Vatican from her apartment window ♥

Vero: Paris baybeeeeee

Maddie's Blog: Another great week has almost gone by, which is making me realize that time here is going too quickly and I would love time to stop because I am still enjoying every minute of it!

Oh The Places You'll Go

As many of our sisters get ready to leave for travels around the world, we wish them luck and wait for the exciting stories that I'm sure will come with their adventures. Some, mostly the girls that headed down under to Australia or to Africa, have already begun their time abroad... and others are getting all of their last minute packing and goodbyes out of the way before they head out for the time of their lives.

This blog is meant to allow us to stay connected and will be a link for DG's around the world!! Keeping the girls that are traveling up to date about the Zeta Epsilon chapter of Delta Gamma that is still in Santa Clara, as well as keeping us updated about them.

As September comes around the corner I will be updating more and cannot wait to see how this quarter turns out for all of my sisters :)

** here are a few photos of girls who have already started their travels, ENJOY :)
